Three guesses what’s going to happen on this week’s episode of TWD with Lizzie’s face all over the previews. We watched and cringed while she named and chatted up walkers at the prison fence last season. We watched and cringed as she tried to suffocate Judith. We’ve been building up to this so time to watch the time bomb that is Lizzie’s psychosis explode. Read on as Rob Errera, Nicole Norkin and I try to make some sense out of this.

This week, we catch up with Daryl, Beth, Sacha, Bob, and Maggie. We meet (though we kind of already saw them once before) new bad guys. We find out what it means to be alone. More importantly, our patience with the show gets tested.

The action slows down just a little bit this week, as Michonne spends some quality time with Carl and we learn more about the new friends Glenn and Tara have made.

Read along as Rob, Nicole, and I share our thoughts and questions that will likely never be answered.

I stumbled across this graphic once that described the typical progression of an episode of The Walking Dead:

TWD1

And we’ve probably used this at various times during our stint of reviewing TWD for Racialicious but it warrants recycling! Rob Errera, and Nicole Norkin join me for the mid-season finale. Continue reading below for our reactions.

Last week, we learned that there’s a fast-moving killer flu infecting the prison. Before they can even get a sense of how bad it is or how to treat it, someone took the initiative to eliminate the infected and killed Karen and David. It didn’t do much good since the infection has already spread. This week, tension runs high all around as more people get sick and Tyreese tries to deal with Karen’s death.

In Monday’s recap, I talked about how discussion-heavy it was–and light on plot. This, however, gave the characters time to hash out their problems–some which have been brewing all season. Kiki Smith, Nikki Urban, and Carly Neely joined me this week to talk about the “Michonne and Andrea” argument, the “Rick and Everyone Else” argument, and more.

Spoilers for The Walking Dead episode 3.11 are under the cut.
