    Thanks for this.  Gordon Hirabayashi was truly an American hero.  We always need more like him, and his wife.
    Do we know why he ended up in Canada (I realize as I ask this that this is a truly stupid f**king question, like duhhhhh, but I am curious to know if there were deliberate acts that made him move, or just a desire to escape the hatred that must have been targeted against him???).
