Open Thread: Why Are People So Fucking Racist?

Obama is indoctrinating children into his cult of personality to push them into socialism. Blah de blah. I cursed and carried on for a bit over at Jezebel this morning, but there is something I just did not mention: the blatantly obvious racial angle on this.
I didn’t mention how when I look at these quotes and coverage, a lot of these things are coming from MY HOME STATE, so when they are talking about fucknuts with assualt weapons in Middletown, MD I know people who live out there, and when Getty posts photos of people holding up socialism signs in front of a townhall in Hagerstown, MD, I know where that is too, and I can only come to the conclusion that the white folks to the north of me have gone bat shit crazy and I am not leaving my neighborhood or Chocolate City proper.
I did not mention any of this because my eyes would explode if I had to look at one racism denier going “no, no, these are just, you know, a bunch of angry white people talking about losing their country and forming militias for no reason.”
Fuck this shit.
Vent it out for the long weekend (just be mindful of the comment mod policy – no threats of violence) in the thread below.
