” Homophobic? I’m in Queens of the Stone Age for crissake…” More non-apologies. Interesting how they all follow the same format. -LDP

I’m still a huge fan of Josh Homme and his band. It was definitely a poor choice of word/reaction on his part, though, and he should have acknowledged that instead of trying to act coy about it.

Seeing Perez Hilton get pissed at someone else being bigoted towards a marginalized group he is in makes me think he may start to “get it” and try to be less bigoted himself. Here’s to hoping.

@ Colin A.B: I agree, Perez is such a bigoted, woman-hating, hypocritical asshole. He calls out other people on homophobia, yet he himself mocks lesbians, straight females, gay guys, bisexuals, and straight guys for not fitting the standard gender/sexual roles. Not to mention the fact that he’s always mocking people for their body types and for their beliefs.
His hypocrisy sickens me.

Perez Hilton is quite the sexist, and turns a hella deaf ear to the rampant, virulent racism that takes place among the commenters on his blog, but the responses to this post of his were comedy gold. Someone used the exact sentence “It’s not homophobic to call someone a f**” over there. No lie, no /sarcasm tag, no nothing. I had to GTFO of there on that note.

I’m not a huge Perez fan…actually I really can not read his blog and I find his increasing media presence terrifying. That said, I appreciate his calling out this Queens of the Stone Age fellow, whose unbelievably smug, overwritten response represents the absolute worst of “snarky” hipsterdom run amok. Thanks, I guess, Perez.

Meh, the whole Perez/Josh thing seems like a big ol’ “my dad is bigger than your dad” ordeal.
But 99% of those commentators would throw a fit if they were repeatedly called a slur again, and again, and again… so their “un-PC” arguments are bullshit. They’ve just never experienced enough of it themselves.
