The ‘Portrait of a new American Family’ was actually pretty disturbing to me. Mixed kids deciding to claim for themselves that they “act white” or that “other races keep [their thoughts] to themselves”.
I know we all grow up differently – and for a long time, I had a very shallow view of race. I don’t hold this kids responsible…it was just disturbing to read.

That article about Clinton and the other women vying for the VP slot is simply an attempt to pit women against each other and those women ought to know that they’re being used to put Clinton in her place specifically for discussing gender at all. I’m continually annoyed by people who pull this kind of crap. Clinton’s emphasis on gender was not the liability here, her racism, her gaffes, a campaign run by people like Terry McAuliffe and Geraldine Ferraro – these issues were the problem.
