Steroids? Hip hop made me do them!

by Carmen Van Kerckhove

LOL! Jay Smooth totally calls it. Yes rappers, lay off the juicing before Oprah holds a town hall meeting about why hip hop is making everyone use steroids.

    That is just sad!!!

Perhaps that explains the ad I saw on the side of a Vitamin Water truck on 125th St the other day.

It was plugging Formula 50 and it showed 50 Cent studiously ignoring 3 bikini clad video girls while carefully reading the Wall Street Journal.

    The caption:

    No Groupies

    No Love

    Just 50

Now, perhaps the lack of groupie love for Mr Jackson might have had something to do with…. (well, let’s not go there…)

In any event, if these guys were taking performance enhancing drugs that made them…oh, I don’t know, HAVE MORE INTELLIGENT LYRICS then I wouldn’t have a problem!

But does hip hop really need MORE hypermasculine agression and testosterone poisoning???

Along with all the “overcompensating” that men with certain, uh “shortcomings” feel the need to engage in?

Gee, I thought it was Major League Baseball that was making folks do steriods.

I can’t believe Jay just referenced The Last Emperor.
