That’s exactly what I did last night! Only it wasn’t “celebrating” as much as “avoiding”.

The husband and I were starving yesterday after church and had several hours before a family get-together. I also had minimal food in the house as I’ve been avoiding the crowds, including grocery stores. To the Chinese (and everything else) Buffet we go for takeout.

Where else can I get sushi, seafood, and dumplings on Christmas Day?

I just hope everyone working yesterday, whether a restaurant or our local CVS, gets some good time off soon.

We had dinner at the restaurant
next to the Chinese Cultural Centre
in Phoenix on Christmas Eve. Baby
Mommy and I then went out to the zoo
    for the ZooLights. Christmas dinner
was both leftovers from themeal and
a delicious ham with scalloped potatoes.

My family in California had a MORE
traditional prime rib , turkey and pot
luck style dinner…but I was relieved
not to be in the kitchen this year and
to not travel more than 40 miles from
    the house. Inspiration!
