Re: Third Culture Kids
Why do I feel that the current definition only includes “American” kids who have lived elsewhere?
Immigrant children and the children of immigrants also experience multiple cultures that they combine to make their own. I feel unjustly left out. =(

ike, the definition of third culture kids is not only limited to american kids, it’s any kid that spends their formative years outside their “home” country. i’m on a third culture kids facebook group with members from around the world.
immigrant children and children of immigrants are not included in this definition, because unlike TCKs, they expect to stay in the country they live in. they ARE included in the definititon of “cross-cultural kids”.
