I remember reading Yale’s admissions catalog when I was deciding whether or not to apply… when I got to the descriptions of New Haven I stopped. Yale did foster an Us and Them mentality with regard to New Haven residents. But blackface? Yale students are supposed to be the cream… the best. But then again, look at George Bush. He was born in New Haven, went to Yale and lived on Whitney Avenue…

And since this is an Ivy league school I am going to assume that they were educated and brought up properly enough to know what is just poor manners. Im not buying that they didnt know better BS. And while I did not mention nooses at yale, as far as I am concern they go hand in hand . I take offense to both equally. And since I am black I am going to assume my opinon on the matter counts. Would there be any understanding in those schools if the brothas decided to pull a Jena and start beating whites down like there going out of style?
I am not the one that put the Ivy League schools on a pedestal of higher education, but since they are I kind of expected better.
