That was aweful. I kept waiting for either a larger social commentary, or a punchline, but it never came. And geez, somebody get that girl a tuner, cause her voice makes my ears hurt. And it wasn’t much of a remix, I could have come up with that in 6 minutes- it looks like that’s all it took for the video too. I did like the few moments of female assertion when a guy grabs her boobs.
I never saw the original video but it looks like Alanis is making fun of herself as much as anything in the video. And personally I found her lady lumps to be quite enjoyable too!

Meh. Don’s right — her voice grates cheese, and hard, too. How she’s a megastar, I’ll never know. Maybe it’s her “energy” or something…can’t be her voice. And, (wow, can’t believe I’m saying this) that song just got WORSE.
Social commentary doesn’t have to come with a banner and 12 piece band. It could be done in 6 minutes because that’s the amount of mind power that went into the original, which is what leads us to this parody.

OMG, Carmen! What have you done? I couldn’t listen to the whole thing – it was more than annoying, but funny!

I didn’t even watch the video — the audio alone was priceless. If the video’s funny too, bonus.

LOL!
Between the achingly slow tempo and the Jim Jones knockoff in the background, that was the funniest remix vid I’ve seen in a minute.
