Off topic… but can Racialicious PLEASE address the atrocity that is Eddie Murphy’s “Norbit”? Not only does he do a buck-toothed Chinaman caricature (”Mr. Wong”) but he also does the enormously tired “ugly morbidly obese sassy mean black woman” drag routine.
America just lapped it up this weekend (34 million at the box office). Does this disturb any one else? Do Americans really love seeing the horrible “fat, hollering sassy Negress” caricature so darn much?
