Years ago, Barkley was asked, along with scores of other super-famous athletes, who their favorite athlete was. And then asked if Tiger Woods was perhaps so superior an athlete, that were he not playing golf might he be able to thrive in any other field of his choice.. (This is maybe 1999).
Barkley’s response regarding Tiger: Tiger may be the best golfer ever, but then golfers are not particularly athletic.
(Fair disclosure: my husband told me last year that Barkley seemed to have come full circle in his opinions of Tiger as athlete/sportsman, and seems to publicly make statements supporting his opinion of Tiger as … worthy, in that regard, certainly as worthy of respect for what he has accomplished.)
My first post is kind of in keeping with the Friday Fun poke, but it’s out there for the world to see, and Barkley pretty much means what he says.
