O.J., WTF dude?

by Carmen Van Kerckhove

Yeah I really don’t know what to say about this. I guess we should add this to our “will do anything for a paycheck” category, along with Eddie Murphy and Mike Tyson.

    Oooh, Carmen,

    opening a can, there.

Is this serious? This is not a hoax? I am referring to the interview caption above, not the book or its duck-and-weave-and-bob title.

I heard this on NPR yesterday, so it’s no hoax.

I refuse on general principle to watch it, though - although I’m sure it’ll be a November sweeps bonanza for the network.

Damn, Carmen…you beat me to it!

It’s all good, though…until Seal chokes Heidi Klum to death, the new generation of IR-minded Black guys and White gals have nothing to fear!

Can’t we just let this go??? I think the OJ case does not need to be relived.

There is something obviously wrong with the man. He’s sniffing for money at this point. Every interview I see with him post murder, he looks like a nervous wreck. At this point he is a pariah that has simply run out of money….because he is a pariah. He should have onvested his money wisely and moved out of the country where he could live in a bit more seclusion. I hate it for his poor kids though. It sucks they have to see their father peddle murder like this.

Of all the murders and acquittals, some people are really obsessed with this one.

I don’t understand why O.J.’s doing this. I get that he has no respect for the families of the victims, but can’t he see this is detrimental to his kids? Tyson and Eddie Murphy aren’t even in the same ballpark as O.J. This dude is on a planet all by himself.

Seems like he’s rubbing double jeopardy in everyone’s face:

“Now, that I’ve been acquitted… Even if I admit to the crime… Na! Na! Na! You can’t get me!”

It certainly does seem like he’s rubbing it in…for a paycheck. I am so off OJ. I will not be watching.

Perhaps I’ve been desensitised because i don’t really care about this story. I wish people had this much passion to rail against so many others who’ve gotten off scott free after committing murder.

But the amazing thing about the whole sordid story is not the actual murder, but the way the US handled it (or failed to), the Mickey Mouse trial that followed, and what the coverage said about American culture.
