Election racialiciousness roundup
by Carmen Van Kerckhove
A summary of post-election good news and bad news from Jack and Jill Politics, a cool blog that purports to offer “a Black Bourgeoisie perspective on American politics.”
Unfortunately, Bob Corker’s race-baiting tactics appear to have paid off. And so have Ward Connerly’s KKK-praising strategies to end affirmative action in Michigan. For more on that, check out BlackatMichigan.com.
Other good news
- Senator Man-Dog goes down in defeat. You might say he “screwed the pooch” on this one
- In middle America, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio hold Dems in governor seats
- Rhode Island’s Lincoln Chafee (R) is finished. Many people are saying they feel bad to lose the moderate Republican. I say this is a binary election. You’re either with us or against us, and we had to smoke the rethugs out. All of them. Sorry, Lincoln, but you chose the wrong party, son.
- The so-called “western” or “mountain” Democrats have a solid win of the Colorado governor’s office
and some bad news…
- Affirmative action gets cut in Michigan
- Bob “Miscegenation” Corker beats Ford
- Bill “Shake My Hands and Give Me AIDS” Frist may run for president
- Senator Macaca’s race is likely to involve many recounts and court appearances unless we can get Bush’s cousin to call it in Macaca’s favor
