The appalling part for me was not even the paranoia, but the passengers who IMPERSONATED authorities - dude, someone should tell folks to pull a Flight 93 when you KNOW something’s wrong. The other thing that bothered me is that there wasn’t enough follow-through. The passengers responsible should have been banned from that flight or from the airline itself - wanna-be vigilantes can interfere with existing security measures and are therefore a risk to the airplane. Imagine their reaction if the pilot was rocking a beard?
